The Therapy Development Group Manager will lead pre- and post-market activities for the Laser portfolio including Urology and GYN/ENT solutions. This Manager will own the 360 of the Laser Portfolio Therapy Development aspects, including R&D lab and animal work, market conditioning for new solutions and post-market evidence generation strategy. This individual will serve as a major pillar in building relationships with global KOLs, and demonstrating the clinical value and benefits of the Laser solutions. The Group Manager will lead a team who will execute the various activities throughout the product lifecycle.
The Therapy Development Group Manager plays a critical role in bringing new solutions to the market, educating the Urology community on their value and bringing feedback to R&D on future needs. This role requires forming and cultivating strong collaborative relationships between different stakeholders including R&D, Marketing, Clinical Sciences and Market Development, both in Israel and globaly.
- Lead the Therapy Development team and oversee the relevant budget
- Own the Therapy Development strategy and contribute to the overall Laser Therapies strategy
- Lead all bench and pre-clinical trials of R&D projects %28PDP and Research projects%29 including:
- Plan and execute state of the art bench models, tools, and techniques in an innovative lab to support all testing needs
- Plan and execute lab, In vitro, and ex-vivo testing for product feasibility, POC, testing, and data generation
- Establish and execute Pre-clinical, cadavers, and clinical testing plan required for each product, with the multidisciplinary team including coordination, physician engagement, protocol preparation etc
- Execute validation planning, clinical user need validation in simulated environment
- Lead global evidence generation of laser franchise products
- Plan, promote or execute clinical activities %28study grants, ISR and IST%29 following company SOPs
- Develop KOL engagement strategy in collaboration with the marketing team
- Lead global SAB and physician meetings
- Support marketing/commercial activities from the scientific/medical point of view in strategic thinking, planning and execution including:
- Support the writing and review of marketing materials and white papers
- Contact person for any communication with leading physicians, KOLs and consultants
- Literature search and clinical publication supporting materials
- Active participation in scientific meetings / lectures / congresses.
- PhD/MD %28preferable%29 or Master’s degree in life sciences- required
- 5+ years research experience in industry or academic environment %28hands-on%29
- Experience of at least 3 years in leading clinical studies or joint research
- A strong leader with experience in managing employees and working in a matrix organization while managing various stakeholders
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships inside and outside of the organization including cross-cultural relationships
- Excellent project management/execution and organizational skills
