Role Summary:The SW Engineer is responsible for design and implementation of medical imaging tomographic reconstruction software, through definition of architecture, design, coding and performance optimization.
Essential Responsibilities:
Coding of algorithms and reconstruction tools in C++/ OpenCL parallel environments.
Architecture and design of complex software subsystems.
Work with algorithm engineers to understand mathematical algorithm and design optimal solution to implement the algorithm.
Work with SW team to define interfaces between SW and Reconstruction environments.
Optimize reconstruction engines to meet performance requirements and use of memory resources.
Write SW requirements and design documents.
Design and execute SW unit-tests.
Define and support EQ in design and execution of system testing plans.
Support field investigations – upon need.
Data and configuration management and control of generated code.
Initiate technical reviews of work done.
Get to know trends and new technologies in computing industry.
Qualifications/Requirements:
B.A/B.Sc./M.Sc. in computer sciences/computer engineering/software engineering from a known institution.
5+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++.
Excellent C/C++ programming, including debugging, performance analysis, and testing.
Experience in software architecture and design.
Desired Characteristics:
5+ years of algorithms implementation hands-on experience.
Experience in parallel programming multi-core CPU / GPU – big advantage.
Experience in OpenCL/CUDA – big advantage.
Knowledge in MATLAB – advantage.
Knowledge in image processing – advantage.
