We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to lead the Services Procurement group. The individual will be responsible for leading the global end-to-end sourcing activities of Mavenir’s Services and Indirect Procurement needs. This position will report to the Head of Global Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of procurement professionals. Conduct and lead commercial and legal negotiations with suppliers on price, delivery and quality while showing ability to execute cost reduction initiatives and identify areas of cost savings with very little supervision.
Lead the transformation from tactical to strategic procurement.
Manage the vendor business relations
Prepare commercial and legal documents such as NDA’s, Agreements, Amendments and RFP’s.
Evaluate suppliers’ quotations with regards to specifications, price, delivery, credit terms and all other data meeting the requirements of the internal business unit.
As part of supplier management, manage and monitor suppliers’ performance, issue relevant reports, issue purchase orders, engage in ongoing cost reduction activities, agreement renegotiations, etc.
Ensure that data entered on Procurement systems is clear and accurate for reporting purposes.
Improve the existing procurement tools and processes. Lead the process improvement for the group. Train stakeholders on procurement processes.
Represent Mavenir Procurement during quality and customer audits. Develop sustainable procurement guidelines and corporate social responsibility benchmarks for suppliers.
Meet with internal customers to determine requirements, strategies, change in direction and insure ongoing compliance and communication of Procurement’s policies and tools.
Source new products and services upon receipt of a clear specification from the requestor.
Explore new business opportunities (new suppliers, business models and methods).
Management of global contingent workforce program.
Perform cost and financial spend analysis (benchmark, in-source vs. outsource). Lead cost reduction efforts.
Ongoing teamwork and collaborate with colleagues in various business units.
Develop, mentor and coach junior direct reports.
Job Requirements
5+ years of experience in a similar Procurement role, preferably with experience in the High-tech arena, IT or Telecommunications.
Degree in Supply Chain Management and/ professional Supply Chain Certification (C.P.M., C.P.S.M., P.M.P. ) preferred
Proven tack record of procurement transformation.
Strong negotiating and expediting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Expert in leading change and process improvement.
Experience in purchasing practices and procedures is essential.
Previous experience working for global organizations. Knowledge of services procurement practices in a global setting preferred.
Ability to be quick, agile and highly responsive.
Able to effectively lead and manage a team
Self-driven. Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
