Responsibilities
Install, configure, troubleshoot, patch, and upgrade virtual, physical servers and middle-ware applications.
24×7 Monitoring of the systems and business-critical applications to improve stability and performance
Document the installation process and note configurations, modifications, and upgrades made
Analyze business and user requirements to design and deliver appropriate technical solutions
Work closely with internal teams such as Development, Network and DBAs
*Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
** Participate in on-call duties in production 24×7 environment.
Requirements
5 years of Hands-on experience with Linux Servers Operating Systems in a production environment
Strong Troubleshooting skills in an Enterprise environment. Including hardware, hypervisors, operation systems, networking, and applications
Working knowledge of middle-ware and web applications installation, operation, and troubleshooting. Specifically, Apache, Apache Tomcat, NGINX, Rabbit MQ & Kafka
Experience in maintaining DNS, NTP, SFTP, LDAP, SSL Certificates
Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python)
VMware infrastructure familiarity
Proficient with networking concepts and system-related services (iptables, firewall)
Ability to manage and coordinate cross-company projects and ongoing activities
Understanding PCI or similar regulatory concepts – Advantage
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible) – Advantage
Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS) – Advantage
