The research will combine several elements:
Research and analysis of proprietary air interface: algorithm research of sampled wireless signals using MATLAB or Python, to define all radio characteristics including MIMO and modulation scheme, error corrections, spreading techniques and more.
Algorithm development to define all the modulator and demodulator building blocks to be used by real-time logic engineers for implementation over FPGA, DSP and FW, including blocks definitions, verification vectors etc.
Guide and support the FW, DSP and FPGA teams for concept implementation.
Requirements:
5 years’ experience in algorithms research and design of high-speed modems
Hands-on experience in research and design of single carrier or OFDM signals, synchronization, channel estimation, Turbo decoders, Viterbi decoders, MIMO equalizers, noise estimators and more…
Understanding of PHY and RF concepts
Advantage: Knowledge in common wireless protocols, such as WiFi, WiMax, Bluetooth, LTE, etc.
