Lead exploration and research of various design ideas through hands on testing
in the lab.
Optical design and development of new innovative Augmented Reality
systems, in particular new optical trains and new projection systems
Conduct hands-on experiments in the lab to test the designed prototypes.
Interaction with external sub component manufacturers, various internal
engineering discipline specialists and integrators.
Explore creative solutions for a wide variety of optical design challenges.
Rapidly iterate and evaluate new ideas by building working prototypes.
Master degree in Physics or equivalent professional experience
5 or more years of experience in optical design of advanced optical
Proven experience with Code V or Zemax.
Experience in the following fields:
o Lasers and beam propagation
o Imaging system technologies
o Multi-configuration systems
o Sequential/Non-sequential design
Rapid prototyping skills
Proven hands on skills and willingness to optimize system performance
Able to work and interact in a multidisciplinary environment - Mechanics,
Physics, Electronics, Control and Software
Able to lead activities end to end
Ability and passion for perpetual learning
Organized with good verbal and writing skills
Good communication skills, positive and team-oriented mindset
