This position will implement manufacturing processes to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality at the manufacturing site. In addition to leading the NPI & Mass production Running Changes build management in production lines.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead a matrixed operational team of Local EMS – New Product Manufacturing Engineers, Material Project Managers, DFX Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Supplier Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing Program Managers – to manage program deliverables from Manufacturing Operations.
- Monitor the manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality
- TIF – Trials in factory management for running changes in Mass production.
- Production support and process validation %28IQ, OQ, PPQ%29
- Work with the Quality counterpart to address manufacturing nonconformances and customer complaints
- Project management of manufacturing events %28NPI, TIF, RC, etc.%29
- Utilize tools like Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC to improve the process and first-pass yield.
- Understand manufacturing and problem-solving concepts like Value Stream Mapping, 5S, A3, and DAMIC to improve quality, labor efficiency, and throughput
- Summary build meeting management
- Work with cross and global functional teams as required
- Develop and implement process improvements in production lines
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems %28QMS%29 and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and escort NPI build as per the company%27s engineering strategy
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
Requirement:
- Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree required %28BSc or equivalent – a must, Msc. an advantage%29.
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with Tier 1 manufacturers – must.
- Previous consumer electronics devices experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels across different shifts in the organization.
- Be able to work independently without supervision, multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines on time.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Project management skills & experience – MUST.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance in a manufacturing site
- Languages: very good English – a must; Russian/Ukrainian – a considerable advantage.
