Technical –
Mandatory:
1. At least 5 years of full time hands on experience in the last decade.
2. C++ – Mandatory 3 years full time hands on experience.
3. Experience in leading design and architecture solutions in C++.
4. Experience in the 3D World: Game Development (not mobile game), interactive 3D Simulation.
5. Proven experience in refactoring large and complex pieces of code.
6. Mathematical knowledge in 3D Vector math.
Advantages:
1. Experienced in building 3D games with recent versions of Unreal Engine.
2. Academic degree from a known university with some studies of computer graphics or physics.
3. Multidisciplinary technological activity – for example, being active in open source projects f om various technologies and not only C++ in the 3D graphics world.
4. Experience in programming physical simulation – advantage.
5. Experience in programming a PC 3D game- advantage.
6. Ability to write short and clear process describing documents – details the development process in the project, etc….
7. Experience in writing clear and sharp code technical documentation.
Personal:
1. Highly motivated with a lot of energy.
2. Strong and fast self learning ability.
3. Willing to work alone – be the only responsible person for the product developed.
4. Have great inter-personal skills – be open to criticism and learn from it.
The job requires dealing a lot with peer-review processes.
* To sum 3+4 above: He/She will be a “one man team” responsible to
deliver a product but during the development process they will be subjected to
many peer-review and constrains brought by other R&D leaders from other
R&D teams in the company.
5. Thus, He/She must be able to handle it personally and know how to navigate the inter-personal communication skills in those situations.
6. Ability to lead the project and not only develop per given definitions – also explore needs, learn from existing products in the company and shape the development process of the product as required together with the R&D leadership of the company.
7. Advantage – ability to lead people.
The current job is for a “sole contributor” but have the potential to
extend to leading a small R&D team within 12-18 months.
8. Report directly to the R&D manager of the company – needs to be an independent and proactive person.
