Primary Responsibilities:
Provides support to end users for workstation, server, and mobile device (hardware and software).
Prepares and deploys new hardware for the company’s end users.
Deployment of on-premises hardware such as routers, switches, Ethernet cabling, servers, workstations, monitors, printers, etc.
Manages user accounts in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers such as Azure Active Directory and LastPass.
Performs software installations, patches, and upgrades to maintain systems security and integrity.
Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system issues.
Creates and maintains appropriate systems documentation.
Escalates complex issues to subject matter experts as appropriate.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualification:
1+ years of experience with desktop support, customer support, and/or help desk support.
1+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
1+ years of experience with hardware maintenance tasks such as racking servers, switches, deploying workstations, setting up printers, etc.
High level knowledge of networking fundamentals such as the OSI model, TCP/IP stack, communication protocols, firewalls, routing, etc.
Physical ability to rack servers, move equipment, crawl under desks, change Ethernet cables at the switch and wall port, etc.
Able and willing to learn new IT-related fields as the company grows.
A strong desire to help others.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Flexibility to work on call, if necessary.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, start-up atmosphere.
Has very good verbal and written English for day-to-day communications with management/end users.
Preferred Qualification:
IT-related certification from Microsoft, CompTIA, VMWare, Cisco, etc.
Experience with virtualization products such as Hyper-V or VMWare.
Experience with cloud Infrastructure as a Service such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with a Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.
Experience with macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
Experience with Linux/UNIX systems.
