The Head of R&D will set R&D vision and roadmap, provide strategic technical leadership for the company’s current product portfolio and future innovation and manage more than 40 R&D professionals, including managers level, while establishing close partnership with the company leadership and its other departments.

An executive-level R&D position and member of the company leadership, helping to set its strategy, focusing on current product portfolio and future innovation.
Main responsibilities:
• Set R&D vision and roadmap
• Provide strategic technical leadership for the company’s long-term business development i
• Manage R&D professionals, including managers level, driving excellence, synergy and workflow across a staff of more than 40 engineers.
• Grow the R&D team and mentor individual team members.
• Provide leadership and develop objectives for the R&D department.
• Secure internal and external resources for existing and future R&D projects.
• Direct the design and development of new products and the improvement of existing ones.
• Establish close partnership with the company leadership and its other departments, including CTO, marketing, operations, sales, etc.
Requirements:
• B.Sc. degree in EE/Physics/Computer Sciences or other relevant fields. M.Sc./Ph.D. – an advantage.
• Excellent track-record in management roles of big R&D teams (40 employees and up) in global and/or international companies.
• Proven track records in leading development to production.
• Vast industrial experience in digital signal processing R&D and product development in multi-disciplinary environments (SW/HW).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management teams through excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Proven ability to manage direct reports effectively.
• Ability to excel in dynamic, fast-paced business environment, and to manage multiple priorities successfully.
• Background in Audio/Acoustics/Speech Recognition industry is a significant advantage.
• Experience in the automotive industry - an advantage
