The position reports to the Head of Formulations and Delivery Technologies (“Head of FDT”) and works very closely especially with the Formulation R&D leaders in Israel and abroad.
Success in the role requires close and productive Interfaces with a number of key stakeholders such as Chemical R&D, Analytical R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Procurement and IP.
Location: Home offices are in our R&D sites in Naot Hovav and Yavne.
Meetings and places of work also include Agan (Ashdod) and from time to time Airport City.
Travel outside Israel is to be expected, 4-6 trips per year.
Main Roles and Responsibilities The Project Manager’s main roles will be to support the Head of FDT in the following:
• Monitor selected formulation development projects in terms of timelines and milestones in order to ensure that Formulation R&D is optimally addressing the goals of the project as communicated to R&D.
• Update the Head of FDT and relevant Formulation R&D leaders on evolving project updates and do the same with the aforementioned key interfaces. Help ensure that they are informed of significant events such as emerging project delays or positive breakthroughs with potential impact on the project, IP considerations, raw material considerations, registration related matters and the like.
• Support specific projects that the Head of FDT is leading such as pilot plant set-up and expansion and other investments, identifying consultants, hiring processes, coordinating significant meetings involving multiple stakeholders inside the company.
• Take part in periodic multi-disciplinary project kickoff and update meetings and calls as a representative of the Head of FDT. Feedback information to the Head of FDT and Formulation R&D leadership that is key to the team’s success in meeting the development plan.
• Identify gaps in the formulation development plan and help address them proactively. Requirements
• PhD or MSc in Exact Sciences – a must. Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering – a plus.
• Prior work experience in R&D in a research position – must
• Fluency in English. Able to hold discussions and correspond in English – a must
• Experience working with interfaces located abroad – advantage
• Experience in project management- advantage Personal Factors
• Requires a scientific R&D background with and an organized, efficient, get-it-done attitude
• Highly open to fast-paced environment and frequent changes in plan. Frequent changes in plan and scope are to be expected and the best fit for the job is with those who enjoy this atmosphere vs. one where decisions take a while and involve many meetings and participants.
• Self-starter but updates manager frequently. Does not need to be told what to do too often.
