A fast-growing well-funded startup developing cutting-edge technology driven Alt-Meat, is looking for an experienced Food Technologist/Chemist to manage the food technology R&D team. This is a unique opportunity to join and lead a small team early on and have a critical part in making a vision reality, facing many challenges and opportunities.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Lead the company%27s core development efforts in food technology, collaborating with different R&D functions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Professional management of the food formulations and products development.
· Recognized and leading source of knowledge in the field for both internal and external parties.
· Responsible for maintaining bthe company’s competitive edge through innovation.
· Management of the food development strategy program.
· Technological consulting to relevant functions outside the company.
Background and skills requirements
· Experience in leading the development of complex food products and technologies, as well as hands-on experience.
· Deep understanding of the main technological fields relevant to the company, with emphasis on food and alternative-meat technologies.
· High skills in organization and professional communication both internally and externally %28partners, customers, investors, external laboratories etc.%29.
Education and experience
· BA in food science /technology / engineering, or in Chemistry.
· MSc, PhD in food science or Chemistry is preferred.
· Experience of at least 10 years in product development in alternative-meat or other solid foods.
· Experience of at least 5 years in directly managing R&D teams.
