Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for developing modules as part of an electro-optical sensing system incorporating laser sources, optics, mechanics, and electrical HW.
- Construct, maintain and improve systems in the prototype phase as part of the team’s effort to bring new sensing capabilities to our product.
- Characterize performances in optical aspects of imaging and illumination optics, thermal system performances, and mechanical performances.
- Develop system-level concepts, introduce ideas, and test them in the field or lab while integrating the optical, mechanical, electronics, and SW elements.
- Define specifications and requirements to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Collaboration with different disciplines %28Mechanics, HW, SW, Algorithms and Architecture%29 to find the best performance in various scenarios.
Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Physics / Electrical Engineering / Opto-Mechanical Engineering / Electro-Optics, or B.Sc.
- Deep understanding of electro-optical systems along with design tradeoffs.
- At least 3 years of experience developing electro-optical systems.
- Hands-on experience building electro-optical setups for performance characterization measurements at component and system levels.
- Proven working experience with laser-based systems.
- Proven work with suppliers and subcontractors on components customizations – advantage.
- Python or MATLAB – advantage.
- Self-driven, versatile, and challenges-solving oriented.
- Great interpersonal skills, a team player.
