? Be a part of a multidisciplinary team (Electrical and Mechanical engineers) that is responsible for developing surgical platforms.
• Designing surgical instruments and surgical platforms according to specification and regulation requirements. From proof of concept to production line implementation.
• Be the owner of the electrical design of a complex multidisciplinary robotic surgical system. Support design changes, malfunction debugging and improvemnets.
• Be a source of knowledge on the system electrical design.
• Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, PCB layout and manufacturing.
• Lead technical Investigations.
• Write technical documentations.
• Support production line escalations.
• Work closely with System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, RAQA, Procurement and NPI Engineers.
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Medical device design experience – in advantage.
• Experience with PCB design.
• Experience with electrical components selection such as: motors, power delivery components, sensors and LCD screens.
• Experience designing wiring and cabling.
• Self-learning capabilities, capable of working with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Able to effectively work with cross functional teams in a multinational matrix organization.
Nice to Haves
• Experience designing and working with electrical motors (Stepper and DC) and motor drivers.
• Knowledge of Medical-electrical standards IEC60601-1 & IEC60601-1-2.
• Experience with CAN (controller area network) communication hardware.
• Knowledge on PCB manufacturing and assembly line requirements.
• Knowledge on Engineering Change management processes and PLM tools such as PTC Windchill.
• Good understanding of medical device standards, guidelines and regulations
