תיאור המשרה | A development scientist is needed for projects of recombinant proteins. This includes expression, purification and characterization of recombinant proteins. This will be followed by scaling-up, using commonly methods used in the industry.
The candidate is expected to prepare fermentations of bacteria and yeast for recombinant proteins expression, followed by purification of these, using various common methods, follow SOPs and relevant protocols.
The candidate is also expected to apply new methods from time to time, from various sources, included scientific publications etc.
The candidate will also likely prepare common reagents like buffers and broths required for the above mentioned procedures.
Position Qualifications: (refer to leveling guidelines)
• Education: Bachelor degree or Engineer degree in field with 4+ years exp. or Master’s degree in field with 2+ years exp, or PhD + 1 yr exp..
• Experienced in:
o Small to medium scale fermentations: bacteria and yeast
o Experience in various biochemical methods: SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, column separation methods: gel filtration, ion exchange, affinity chromatography.
o Experience with operating HPLC and/or AKTA system.
o Experience in operating fermenters - advantage
o Basic molecular biology: PCR, DNA miniprep- advantage
o Fluent English speaking/ writing capability
o Experience in the industry, working in a regulated environment
