We have an opening for a data scientist with a background in machine learning for cybersecurity applications. You will contribute, provide subject matter expertise and lead research projects in developing advanced software solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Establish data science and machine learning driven approaches to implementing security features in software security solutions.
2. Lead multidisciplinary teams in the areas of modeling and simulation for cyber security solutions,
3. Work with engineers to ensure large data sets and tools are being used effectively to support machine learning and data science analysis techniques.
4. Provide statistical analysis of log/incident data.
5. Formulate and enforce work standards.
The Skills
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
● Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
● Experience developing software in Python
● Comprehensive experience implementing a deep learning workflow using one or more of the following frameworks: Theano, Tensorflow, Pytorch, or Keras.
● Understanding of data science, data modelling, analytics and data visualization.
● Fundamental knowledge and/or experience in applying algorithms in one or more of the following Machine Learning areas: anomaly detection, one/few-shot learning, deep learning, unsupervised feature learning, ensemble methods, probabilistic graphical models, reinforcement learning.
● Ability to communicate comprehensive knowledge effectively across multi-disciplinary teams. Proficient interpersonal skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
● Knowledge and/or experience of computer vulnerabilities such as buffer overflows, code injection, format string, etc. - big plus
● Broad knowledge of network protocols such as DNS, or HTTPS. - an advantage
● Experience developing software in C++, or C - an advantage
