Professional leadership of the Bookkeeping and Payroll teams (four employees)
Oversee day-to-day transactional accounting activities including preparing and reviewing journal entries of cash, AP, fix assets, employees related balances, deferred and accrued expenses
Lead the monthly/quarterly accounting close ensuring timely, complete and accurate recording of transactions
On monthly basis perform all balance sheet acct reconciliations and prepare timely post close, with documentation to support the account balances
On a monthly basis perform comparison reports including variance analysis
Review monthly payrolls
Review journal entries for all payroll activities
Ensure compliance with regulations by understanding existing laws and rules, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence and advising management on needed actions
Perform comparison report after transmission of payroll, comparing current vs. prior payroll in an effort to audit discrepancies prior to the pay date
Work collaboratively across boundaries – divisions, functions, geography
Qualifications:
Certified bookkeeper 3-level or higher
Certified payroll controller
10+ years’ of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
7+ years’ of experience in the professional aspects of leading a team and monitoring the work of others
7+ years’ of experience in a global corporate environment
Excellent analytical skills
Strong attention to details, ability to multi-tasking and work with limited supervision and within tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate with executive management in the US
Experience working with multiple currencies.
Experience with Hilan and Netsuite – preferred
