Job description
Design the motion control of multi- axes mechanisms with multiple subsystems
Development of complex real-time sequences over industrial PLCs.
Characterizing, implementing and optimizing system sequences.
Support field service techs and customers with program changes, phone support, problem-solving and troubleshooting of controls and instrumentation issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Software Engineering, or other related engineering degree. Experience with Structured Text language programing over PLCs – a must.
Design experience with motion control systems including sizing and selection of motors, VFDs, servo drives and implementation of PID loops.
Experience with network and communication protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus, RS-232/422/485 and EtherNet/IP). Experience in developing complex real-time sequences over industrial PLCs.
Hands-on experience in motion control design from multi-disciplinary company developing machines with multiple moving axis – a must System understanding, ability to relate mechanical behavior to its control Wide experience in the Codesys development environment, experience with Emerson, Berghof Automation and Crevis products – advantage.
