As an audio product manager, you will work closely with the Director of audio and VP AVSM to develop portfolio strategies in line with the long-term strategic vision. You should have an in-depth working knowledge of these products and their applications. You will design products from existing ideas, help to develop new ideas based on your experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand problems, locate opportunities, identify holes, and find innovative solutions.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, from R&D and engineering to define features and solve issues, and with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Managing the entire product-line life cycle from concept, to design, samples, testing, forecast, production, go-to-market strategy, support, and product end of life.
· Specifying market requirements for current and future products by assessing competition and conducting market research supported by on-going communication with customers and non-customers.
· Achieve growth objectives including market share, revenue, and ROI.
· Working with all cross functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, logistic, sales and training) to ensure launch of new products and continue success of existing products.
· Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/webinars, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional events.
· Help building the training and education programs for both internal and external personal.
REQUIREMENTS
· 2+ years of hardware or software product management experience
· Solid understanding of audio systems, amplifiers, speakers, and audio processors
· Knowledge of either live, studio, broadcast, or integrated audio systems
· Results-Driven with a proactive, goal-oriented approach
· Strong attention to details, well organized
· Excellent Presentation Skills
· Excellent English and Communications skills
· This position requires travel.
· DSP Engineering degree / relevant knowledge – big advantage!
· Knowledgeable in Pro AV technology- advantage
